Jan has been the Manager of Wirral’s Landlord Accreditation since it was initially set up in December 2003.

Her previous employment history includes Team Manager within Wirral Social Services, and was instrumental in setting up Wirral’s Central Advice and Duty Team, the single point of access for advice and information to the Social Services Department via telephone.

In her current role, Jan is responsible for developing Wirral’s Landlord Accreditation Scheme and established the Managing Agent Accreditation Scheme in 2004. This Scheme has proved extremely popular and has attracted many local Agents which has dramatically increased the number of Landlords and properties applying for accreditation.

Information - Anne Rowland
Anne Rowland is an Environmental Health Officer, who since graduating three year’s ago has been working for Private Sector Housing at Cardiff Council.  Although initially employed to do enforcement work, Anne took the role of Accreditation Officer over within 6 months of starting, and has been focusing on this area of work since then.  After working on the Council’s property based accreditation scheme, and attending ANUK steering group meetings, Anne realised that Landlord Accreditation would also benefit landlords in her area.  After looking into the feasibility of such a scheme, and speaking with fellow colleagues from across Wales, it became apparent that support for a Wales wide scheme was strong.  Anne therefore became co-ordinating officer for the scheme, and worked to secure capital funding from the Welsh Assembly Government to set up the scheme, and is currently procuring training and devising a website for use for landlords across Wales.
