David Alcock
David Alcock is currently working on setting up a scheme for undertaking pro-active inspections on private rented sector properties across East Lancashire for Regeneration UK (funded by the ODPM). Previously David has set up and developed landlord and tenant schemes in his role as Landlord Accreitation Manager for Regeneration UK.
Mike Campbell
Mike Campbell is the Landlord Accreditation Officer at Coventry City Council managing the Coventry Accredited Property Scheme (CAPS). Mike, in association with other partners, developed the scheme from scratch. This involved devising standards, setting up an administration system and databases, promoting the scheme and inspecting and certifying properties.
David D’Orton-Gibson
David D'Orton-Gibson has worked in residential lettings since 1988, running a letting agency and providing training and consultancy services. David works for Training for Professionals whose clients include large and small letting agents, large and small private landlords, housing associations, central and local governments and others. He holds the NAEA Certificate in Residential Lettings and Management.
Charles Garrett
Charles Garrett runs the Property Accreditation Scheme in Bath and North East Somerset which was established in 1994 and re-launched in 2002 and it is going from strength to strength. Currently the scheme has over 1300 accredited properties. In addition to running the Council’s Accreditation Scheme, Charles also acts as Property Partnership Officer responsible for finding homes for the homeless in the private rented sector and for empty properties, as well as Accreditation, HECA and Radon.
Lawrence Greenberg's work is primarily focussed on dispute resolution, governance and project management. Following intensive, high-level training in mediation he became an Accredited Mediator and formed the Professional Mediators Group to offer mediation in areas including housing and health. Lawrence has also worked for the Independent Housing Ombudsman Limited to develop techniques of dispute resolution appropriate to the private sector.
Paul Griffiths
Paul Griffiths is Chairman of the North Staffordshire Landlords Association and has responsibility for policy, organisation, recruitment, newsletters and manning the telephone helpline. Paul is a member of the ANUK steering group and steering group member of the North Staffordshire Landlord Accreditation Scheme, a partnership between local authorities and the landlord association. Paul is a full time landlord managing several student let properties and can often be seen 'treading the boards' locally in North Staffordshire indulging his hobby as a part time Thespian!
Ann Holden
Ann Holden is an EHO who has experience developing, implementing and monitoring two landlord accreditation schemes. Both were developed with the help of landlords and other professionals with an interest in the private rented sector. The schemes include minimum property standards and good letting practice. Ann has also developed and implemented a teants' referencing scheme with the police, other partners and the Landlords' forum.
Neil Marsden
Neil Marsden is the Chairman and co-founder of ANUK and an EHO by profession. Neil has developed and operated Leeds Accreditation scheme since 1995. He specialises in giving presentations on accreditation at seminars and conferences around the country. Neil was a small portfolio private landlord himself for 15 years.
Gillian Goddard
Gill is responsible for setting up and managing the property accreditation scheme within Mid Beds. Gill led the housing group that developed the scheme in association with 11 other local authorities within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.This involved agreeing standards, setting up an system for sharing information within local authorities, promoting the scheme and inspecting and certifying properties while ensuring a consistent approach within the other local authorities.
Mark Thomas
Mark Thomas set up the Neath and Port Talbot CBC's private rented housing accreditation scheme in conjunction with a number of local agencies, local authority departments and landlords. Mark manages to day to day running of the scheme, facilitates the groups involved in the accreditation scheme and regularly meets with interested parties to develop standards and seek ways to assist landlords to satisfy the scheme's standards.
