Based on the success of other regional steering groups and accreditation schemes, an All Wales Meeting has been set up to look into the feasibility of setting up a similar initiative.  This will take place on the Monday 16 January 2006 at Flint Council Offices, Committee Room 1 from 12-4pm.

We have been lucky enough to secure a guest speaker in the form of Neil Marsden, previous Chair of ANUK, and Service Development Officer at Leeds City Council.

People from across the 22 authorities in Wales plus members of the Welsh Assembly Government have been invited to attend, and the day looks set to be a success, with a number of people showing interest.

It is hoped this meeting will produce both a steering group function to support Local Authorities in Wales to set up a property based Accreditation Scheme, but also for an All Wales Landlord Accreditation Scheme to be set up in the future.

This meeting is only open to Local Authorities in Wales, however any pieces of advise that anyone can share would be welcome, either before or after this meeting, and minutes can be distributed to anyone with an interest.
